Description

In the presence of oxygen, some bacteria are able to split tryptophan into indole and alpha-aminopropionic acid. The
presence of indole can be detected by the addition of DMACA (p-Dimethylaminocinnamaldehyde) reagent indicated by
formation of bluish-purple colour.
